NATAS Regional Emmy® Win!
O'Fallon, Ill. Composer Wins Regional Emmy® Award for Outstanding Music Composition

The Mid-America Regional Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has presented O'Fallon, IL composer Jeremy S. Martin an Emmy® Award in the category of Outstanding Achievement in Music Composition/Arrangement for his original work, "Normandy, 1944."
Martin composed "Normandy, 1944" to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America premiered the composition in January 2024 and later used it as the basis for a video production that was released via social media. The Emmy® win reflects Martin's long-standing commitment to artistic excellence and to the musical mission of the U.S. Air Force Bands.
A native of Alabama, Martin serves as Staff Music Composer & Arranger for the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Prior to joining the United States Air Force in 2000, he taught middle and high school bands in Tennessee. His compositions and arrangements have been performed by school, university, and military ensembles nationwide, and have been featured in performances and broadcasts throughout the world.
The Mid-America chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) —chartered in 1962 and honoring outstanding achievement in the region since 1976 — presents the Regional Emmy® Awards to recognize excellence in television and related productions throughout Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas and surrounding markets.

What People Are Saying
"A powerful, moving work that is a genuine contribution to the band literature. This is music from and to the heart. Hopefully it will find a permanent home in the band literature. Must be played and must be heard!"
"We just played Jeremy's Armed Services Medley. The arrangement was not hard to put together and was well received by the audience. It is written in such a way that you can easily play the songs in any order you wish or you can choose to do just a single song. Thanks, Jeremy, for this very playable arrangement!"
"Wait this is fire - or should I say it's straight lava?"
"Sent this to the band group chat and immediately got kicked [out]. Worth it though."
