This arrangement reproduces the style, form, and key (C Major) of the classic Andrews Sisters' performance in the 1941 Abbott & Costello film Buck Privates. The concert band accompaniment is Gr. 4 due to the style. You'll need a drum set player, and although it'll be best with a string bass player, there are optional low wind parts to cover the bass line if you don't have a string bass player. Piano and guitar parts are included and highly recommended, but optional. You can perform with either a vocal soloist, duet, or trio.
Want to program the song but don't have a vocalist? Check out Jeremy Martin's alternate arrangement of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy that features your trumpet section (or a soloist or duet) with your concert band! That edition is Gr. 3 (soloist parts are Gr. 3.5).
