Composer Notes:
This march was written in 2015 for my friend and Air Force Bands colleague, Gary Poffenbarger. After retiring from the US Air Force he had taken over the band program at Louise High School in Louise, Texas, and commissioned me to write a concert march for his students. Because the school's mascot was the blue hornet, the march was named for the mascot. Originally titled "Parade of the Blue Hornets," the title was shortened to just "The Blue Hornets" for publication.
